I'm moving in with my gf and I need to thin out my equipment. I bought some purefit heads and never got around to shafting them up until I had an interested buyer who of course flaked. These heads are virtually new, I've hit them a few times to demo them and they have a little bit of "shop chatter" from sitting in a box getting moved around my apt. They were kept in plastic and I assure you that they look great. They are std length, loft and lie shafted with Spined Stiff flex humps. They have Lamkin Midsized grips but only one wrap of tape. The humps are a .580 shaft so this grip is like 1/64 oversized, not a full midsized feel. Again these are basically new 9.9/10 and include the gap wedge and sand wedge. A great set of players irons for short money. $350 shipped or best reasonable offer. Paypal and contact email address is info@centralparkfitness.com

i just bought the 3 4 and 5 iron Cavity back heads for these from my ostrich since they are cheap on closeout. Keep in mind that while these heads sell for only $2 each, thats only because there are no full sets of these heads left! I bought the 3,4, and 5 figuring if someone can't hit the long irons they can make a combo set by doing a quick reshaft. Make me an offer, these have to move!

No offense Dave, but you need to "keep in mind" where you're at.

no offense taken. The bottom line is that you can't buy a set of these new. These heads are like new. If you could buy a whole set of these heads it would cost you $200. 10 BRAND NEW apollo hump shafts (i bought them from my ostrich last week and got the receipt to prove it) which ran $90 plus 10 BRAND NEW GRIPS which ran $30 plust the time I spent building these, something that someone with no clubmaking skills couldn't do. So basically cost of parts here is $320. People pay $300 for a driver or a putter and the way everyone worships humps and worships components on this forum, surely there is someone out there looking to either replace their current irons or make the leap to blades without spending tons of money. This is a great deal for that person.

I agree totally with John. FGI is NOT the place to sell any equipment if you want decent return. Craigslist might be better. Your locale NYC might get better return. BTW.......Hump shafts don't FLO anywhere near where they spine so that's a mute point. I'd pull the shafts since you don't tip Apollo Humps and sell the shafts. Move the heads wherever. Let's do the math. Tim sells the whole set minus the 6 & 7 for $2.00 head so if you got them awhile back maybe you paid a few bucks more but not cost. FGI'ers are smart and know what heads go for. Apollo Humps are 7.55 from Hireko. Sorry you won't get anything for your labor that's just they way it is on FGI. Don't believe me ask Steve or the other ho's on FGI.......my advice list them on Craigslist or move them some other way. BTW...........I have a set of Wishon 752's with Apollo Humps /Star Sidewinders Series 7 TLT and MOI'ed to 2700 spined and FLO'ed. I'd take $100 right now. IMO the 752 head is better than the 1020MB or CB.

Dave, I apologize for saying anything. I, by no means, meant to disrespect your listing whatsoever.

The problem is who wants to buy the 3,4,5, 8, 9, and pw? Cost is what you pay, value is what you get. $2 a head is cheap but there is no value in buying those heads when you can't get a complete set! I can offer you a brand new car for $5 but it only has 2 tires on it and there are no other tires available to you, what good is that gonna do you? I can argue that the clubs are priceless because nobody else on the planet can give you a full set of these irons brand new. I'm selling 3-SW, thats a total of 10 completely brand new assembled clubs and I'm offering to provide the buyer with the Cavity back heads of the 3, 4, and 5 iron should they decide they want to reshaft and make a combo set. they could get those heads themselves from Tim, but I've gone out of the way to spend the $6 for the heads and the $10 shipping so I've saved them more money there. Again, this set is ideal for someone who wants a set of muscleback irons for low cost. You can buy a set of any oem musclebacks and you will not get them with shafts spined or flo'd either and you will pay 3x as much money. You can buy a set of used oem musclebacks and still pay at least $350 and they will definately be showing PLENTY of wear. The bottom line is that I'm offering a quality product at a very reasonable price. My time is money. As a personal trainer, I charge anywhere from $85- 120/hr for my services. I spent a few hours building these taking my time to do it correctly. I have no qualms about asking for a few more $ for that, not to mention I'm picking up the tab on shipping. So lets really go through the numbbers. Your getting 13 clubheads that retail at $20 each if you could buy them as a set. $260 10 brand new shafts $90 (its easy to say value golf has them for 7.55 bbut you still gotta pay shipping.) 10 brand new lamkin grips $33 Grand total is $383 As for your clubs, you say you'd take $100 and thats fine. But lets say somebody is looking for those exact specs, there is a value for that. When I was in the market for my first set of players irons i knew I needed them 1/2 to 1 full inch longer than standard with lie angle 2-3* upright and midsized grips. The only option for me was going to be buying new clubs built to these specs which would cost me $1000 that I didn't have but I was going to start saving up for them. I stumbled across an ebay listing for Titleist 690.cb's that were 1/2 inch longer than std, lie 2* up with midsized grips. The guy was only asking $250 for them bbecause for whatever reason, those irons resale value wasn't high. He could have gotten me to pay $500 for them had he known that they were exactly what I needed! that is what I'm going for here. If someone recognizes a value, please contact me and we can hopefully make a sale. If not, I'm happy to keep them as a bbackup or will gift them to a friend who can appreciate them. quote:

I am in the belief that if someone is not interested in an ad, then don't comment on it. That being said, everyone here knows what those purefit heads went for. List them how you want to list them. I mean, they are yours after all. But, at that pricepoint, it's almost 100% you won't get any takers, and will be "harrassed" by a few for your troubles, because my personal reaction to the price you were asking for is "what is this dude smoking asking that much for closed out components when other OEM's are selling off their's for half the price" Or, you can just take Coach's offer. He by far is the most reasonable person on this board.

He by far is the most reasonable person on this board. I agree, where I come from we call it minding our own business. Anybody who wants a set of muscleback component irons cannot buy them anywhere for less than $15 a head. Hireko sells game improvement iron heads for about $8 a head, they don't sell any muscleback heads. Diamond tour has muscleback heads for $18.50 each, when you add in shipping thats $20 a head!!!! You guys can speculate all you want about what I paid for them, that doesn't f*&king matter. Do you go to the supermarket and argue with them about what they paid for the gallon of milk vs what they are selling it to you for??? So any of you that want a full set of purefit 1020 mb's have fun. pay the $2 per head and buy an extra 6 iron head and an extra 9 iron head and bend the lofts to 7 and 8 iron specs then stick a piece of tape over the 6 and the 9 and write 7 and 8 on it and don't forget to properly swingweight them since those heads won't be the correct weight. Here's the bottom line, if you are in the market for a new set of muscleback irons, I have a set that has seen one bucket of balls at the range and one round on an actual golf course. They are standard length, loft and lie. They are not flo'd but they are spined. The grips are lamkin crossline midsize grips with one wrap of tape which means that on a .580 butt shaft like the apollo humps the grip is actually only 1/64th oversize. My asking price for this brand new set of irons (as stated in my initial post) is $350 or best reasonable offer. So if you aren't interested in these, feel free to keep your comments to yourself. If you are interested in them and would like to make an offer, feel free to do so at info@centralparkfitness.com
