OK, the first post pretty well sums up my review. But I guess somebody might want some detail.
My gamer is a 9* DCT on an Aldila NV55 stiff. Love this club. I hit a shade under 70% fairways, and average 260-270 with it. But I had money burning a hole in my Paypal account, and after trying a 13* 959OL for grins (way too high loft for me)....I decided to get a 959OL for myself and see. Yes, I've been fitted for the DCT, so I know there's not a lot more I can get out of my 95 swing speed.
I had Wishon hand pick a 10*, 0.5 closed head, and I put it on a GD Pershing 65S (thanks Diamond Tour).
Went to the range today. The back fence at the range is at 240. My DCT consistently lands short of the fence, and the 1st bounce is about at peak when it hits the fence....so I have a good idea where my ball normally lands.
Started hitting the 959OL. First few shots, I couldn't see the ball land or bounce. Finally, the 4th shot I saw it hit the fence on the fly, about 15 feet above the ground. Once I had my eyes dialed in, that was where most of the 959OL shots were landing. The 959OL mishits were landing where my normal DCT would land.
So, just based on the range sessions, I'd guess the 959OL is getting me about 15-20 yards more carry.
I wonder if Chuck could repaint it to look like a conforming driver?

My fitting started with Dana Upshaw, and then continued when I found a local golf shop that would let me use their launch monitor in exchange for my club repair services when they were in a pinch.
Unfortunately, that shop closed soon thereafter.
